Question: When does time start?
Answer: Time starts at your door and ends at upon completion of the item delivery.
Question: Where does milage start?
Answer: Milage starts at our place of business and includes the total distance traveled to, from, and back make your delivery happen.
Question: Are you insured?
Answer: We maintain a general liability insurance policy and carry commercial insurance on our vehicles for item delivery. Payout on items that are damaged in transit follows Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Administration rules at .60 cents per pound.
Question: What do you do to protect my belongings?
Answer: We blanket and tape all items for delivery, In some cases assembly and disassembly may be needed to further protect your items. We can stretch wrap you belongings as well but will not do so unless requested.
Question: What is the maximum weight of any single item you’re willing to move?
Answer: The maximum weight of an item we are willing to move totals 400lbs, however a waiver is required for safes, refrigerators, washers, dryers, large vanitys, or items weighing over 300lbs.
Question: What is the soonest availability that you have?
Answer: we Have four 3 hour move slots available on any given day, to maintain quality of service we only will accept one job per team member per time slot.
Question: What can I do to save money?
Answer: With our 1 man delivery option selected, if there is someone who is willing to help load and unload, money can be saved. However, this negates our General Liability Insurance Policy as we only cover damaged caused by employees of U Help I Haul. Prepping your own items or opting out of our item preparation service is another good way to save up to 20 minutes on any given delivery. Please know when items are unprepped or self-prepped you waive your right to payout in the case of damage.
Question: What if I feel your movers are miking the clock for additional pay.
Answer: All our vehicles are equipped with tracking devices, tracking devices vs. Google Maps drive time will be reviewed and the variance between the two will be subtracted in the case of any dispute. Furthermore, every job is different, disassembly, item prep, and safely moving your belongings, and reassembly are variables that are hard to account for. Things that impact the total time are stairs, long carries, elevators, and the technical difficulty of the home, and of the item being moved.
Question: How much experience do you have moving peoples belongings?
Answer: Being an owner/operator I am on all jobs, I have 7.5 year’s experience building, operating, and maintaining moving companies. In addition to my moving experience, i have 8 year’s experience as a professional autobody technician type A.
Question: Do you offer a moving service?
Answer: No, we are not legally covered to operate commercial size vehicles.
Question: what forms of payment do you accept?
Answer: We accept cash, Chime, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App currently.
Question: Do you move items in snow, or rain?
Answer: For our personal safety and the safety of your possessions, if it is actively raining or snowing, we maintain the right to reschedule your move for a later date.
